Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Hiraeth! To ensure a safe, creative, and enjoyable experience for all, please review our terms and conditions before participating in any pottery or art activities. By attending our studio, you agree to the following:
1. Kiln Firing Hazards
Pottery items will be fired in a kiln, a high-temperature process essential to finish your piece. Please be aware that while we take the utmost care, firing involves risks, and we cannot guarantee against cracks, warping, or breakages during this stage.
Due to the nature of firing, slight variations in color, finish, or surface texture may occur. We appreciate your understanding that these variations are part of the handmade process and cannot be corrected.
2. Breakages and Liability
While in the studio, participants are responsible for handling pottery items carefully. Any breakages that occur during the painting or handling process will be charged in full.
Hiraeth is not responsible for any breakages that occur after the item leaves the studio.
3. Time Limits on Studio Seats
Studio seats are bookable online. If you are 15 minutes late for your booking start time, it may be reassigned to accommodate other guests, especially during busy times. If you are running late please call us to hold your booking
If you arrive late for your session, you will only have the remaining time left in your scheduled session. Full session time cannot be extended due to late arrivals, so please plan accordingly to make the most of your experience.
4. Collection of Finished Pottery
Pottery items will typically be ready for collection within 2 - 3 weeks of painting. We will contact you when your piece is ready, and it must be collected within 4 weeks of this notification. Any uncollected items after this period may be discarded to make room for new projects.
Fired/finished items are not microwave or dishwasher safe.
We aim to have your pottery ready for collection within 2-3 weeks. However, due to the delicate firing process, completion times may occasionally be longer.
5. Children and Supervision
Children under 14 years must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult. Due to the presence of fragile pottery items, parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring children handle materials carefully.
6. Health and Safety
Our studio uses ceramic and glaze materials that are non-toxic. You are welcome to bring food for your session; however, please avoid touching pottery with greasy hands.
We highly recommend washing your hands before handling pottery, as any food residue on your hands may act as a resist and affect paint application.
Please follow all safety guidelines and instructions provided by our staff, especially around kiln areas.
7. Refunds and Cancellations
In the event you are unable to attend a booked session, please notify us as early as possible.
Deposits for party or private bookings are non-refundable; however, with at least 4 weeks' notice, we can reschedule your booking to a new date.
Due to the nature of personalized, handcrafted work, we are unable to offer refunds for fired pottery pieces.

Shipping
Currently, we do not offer shipping on any of our products. Takeaway kits are available to collect in store.
